Opera has rolled out a new snapshot for version 12.10 of the web browser, which is currently in beta. However, this revision is touted as a milestone for the release of the stable build, since it does away with a serious issue, dubbed “the black window bug.”

This problem caused a black window to cover the desktop after minimizing and then maximizing Opera’s application window. You can check the video above to see exactly how the bug manifested.

In the new build, you can use Ctrl+1 to launch the first entry in Speed Dial. On Windows, the browser now allows inputting symbols by holding down Alt key and punching a number.

Furthermore, the development team has eliminated multiple crash causes, among them being the one triggered by closing a window with blocking dialog.
