The latest snapshot for Opera 12 has arrived for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. It addresses issues with various elements of the skin, as well as the email component.

One of the problems fixed in build 1431 is the lack of the progress bar for large documents and images on Windows. Also, the crash when opening a link in a new tab with Shift/Ctrl + click should no longer occur. Aesthetical improvements on Windows include a fix for the black background for the menu bar when using Windows 7 basic or XP theme.

On Mac, the repairs addressed problems such as new windows opening in the background, font contrast on darker themes or blocking QuickTime plug-in from handling PDFs. Another fix regards freezing of the browser when reloading or closing a tab that loaded a video element.
