Developer Roll7 has just released the first official trailer for the upcoming OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, the follow-up to last year's popular arcade skateboarding game.

If you liked the finger-flipping twitchy mayhem of the original, then you're going to love the sequel. The highlights are spruced-up visuals, monster air levels, and a ton of new tricks to perform.

The game changes setting from its mundane urban beginnings to the cinematic locations of the big screen city, expanding the combo system with new tricks like manuals, reverts, and grind switching, offering you more control over what your skater is performing.

In addition to this, developer Roll7 packed a ton of new stuff into the game, including in the levels themselves, adding a ton of variety, huge grinds, a better overall flow, and even split-route levels where you can choose your own path and even discover hidden ones.

The game boasts a massive five new worlds, with 50 new Amateur and Pro levels and 250 Challenges to tackle, including the Daily Grind, Spots Mode and RAD Mode.

Now with local multiplayer

One of the most exciting announcements, however, is the addition of the much sought-after split-screen local multiplayer mode, enabling up to four players to test their skill against each other in a brand new mode, Combo Rush.

The game will also ship with a stellar soundtrack similar to the one in the first incarnation, with Cid Rim, Lone, Faulty DL, Submerse and Mike Slott being among the featured artists.

OlliOlli 2 : Welcome to Olliwood is scheduled to land on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita gaming devices from Sony sometime later this year. There is no word regarding a PC version of the game yet. The original game is available on Steam, PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.
