The development team at Valve has recently confirmed that it will add support for a virtual reality mode in Team Fortress 2 and the promised patch is already being deployed, available to all those who have the game when they restart Steam.

A number of bugs linked to characters, weapons and powers are also fixed, with a full rundown of the changes offered on the official update page.

For Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, the new update disables the use of Java in the integrated browser.

Oculus Rift is a headset that will allow players to experience a number of titles in VR mode and at the moment, those who have paid for the development kit can use it in Team Fortress 2.

An in-game hat for Team Fortress 2 is also linked to the device.
