Next year, the first device to include Nvidia’s LTE-capable Grey chipset will arrive on shelves, and some of these might be powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile platform, it seems.

No specific info has emerged on which manufacturers might choose to include this chip in their devices, but it seems that we’ll see both Windows Phone handsets powered by it soon, as well as Windows 8 tablet PCs featuring NVIDIA's first fully-integrated LTE solution.

A report coming from Windows Phone Italy suggests that companies might already be mobilizing towards releasing such devices on shelves, but specific details on the matter have yet to be unveiled.

LTE-capable Windows Phone handsets are already available on the market, and Microsoft also promised support for multi-core application processors with the upcoming Windows Phone 8 Apollo, so it does not come as a surprise that things are turning this way.
