Less than two months after making its first Windows Phone devices official, mobile phone maker Nokia announced an upcoming event centered around Microsoft’s mobile operating system.

On January 9th, 2012, the Finnish mobile phone maker will hold a press event in Las Vegas, and has already sent out invites to it, Engadget reports.

The company does not mention the launch of new devices on the invitation, but the graphical design of the flyer suggests that Windows Phone will be the main character of the event.

Some of the latest rumors on Nokia’s plans for Windows Phone suggested that the company would aim at launching a series of high-end devices next year, and that one of these phones would land on shelves in the US with support for the 4G LTE networks of AT&T and Verizon.
