Nokia needed only nine months to bring to the market its first Windows Phone handset, but it appears that they did a great job.

The smartphone has just been launched in Singapore, and Joanne-Marie from Singtel wanted to see how resistant it actually is.

The Gorilla Glass display this handset was packed with offers it increased durability, so that it would withstand being dragged against a wall, or being dropped multiple times.

You can have a look at the video above to see the Lumia 800 being subjected to the aforementioned tortures. The handset appears to be working just fine after said drops.

However, no close up with the device is available after the tests, The Nokia Blog notes. They might have shown that the polycarbonate body might not fare as well as the Gorilla display when the device is dropped or scratched. Clearly, you should not try this at home.
