Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled to the world its cheapest Windows Phone 8-based smartphone this week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and it seems that it has already received approvals for the launch of the device in China.

The phone was spotted at the Chinese telecoms authority with GSM/WCDMA connectivity packed inside, which suggests that it might land on the market unlocked.

The handset was announced with a 4-inch touchscreen display and with a dual-core 1GHz processor inside, as well as with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and a 1430 mAh battery, along with the Windows Phone 8 platform loaded on top, with support for various exclusive apps and services from Nokia.
