Today, Nokia confirmed the upcoming availability of a white flavor of its Lumia 800 smartphone, the first handset it launched on shelves with Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system.

Nokia has announced the upcoming release of Lumia 800 on the shelves in Australia, in four color flavors, including White. Wireless carriers in the country will have it available in March.

Previous rumors suggested Nokia might launch the white flavor of Lumia 800 as soon as February, but the company kept mum on such plans.

The Windows Phone handset was made available in Black, Cyan and Magenta in a handful of markets. Soon, it should arrive in even more countries around the world, and the white version will accompany the aforementioned three color versions.

The one thing that remains to be seen is when it will start appearing on shelves.
