Nokia has just announced the upcoming availability of the PureView 808 smartphone in Romania. The company confirmed the handset will go on sale sometime in July.
Romanian customers will be able to purchase this camera-phone for a suggested retail price of 650 EUR (815 USD), which puts it on top of most smartphones now available on the market.
Nokia also mentioned that the PureView would soon be integrated into its Lumia series, so those who are more attached to Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform will be able to benefit from this innovative technology.
Last but not least, it is also worth mentioning that Nokia 808 PureView will be 50 EUR more expensive than Samsung’s Android flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III.
However, the Finnish company claims that it has launched the Nokia 808 PureView in order to test the test the niche market. It remains to be seen how popular the PureView 808 will be among Symbian and Nokia fans.
