Soon, a new flavor of Android will be released, namely Ice Cream Sandwich, which is expected to become available on a new Google phone, the Nexus Prime.

The handset was long rumored to be on its way to Verizon as DROID Prime, and some new info on it emerged (the photo above is only of a concept device).

Courtesy of leaked system files for the upcoming mobile phone, we learned that DROID Prime might arrive on shelves without specific applications from Verizon, basically with no bloatware.

Even if applications that carriers load on their handsets can prove a great thing sometime, it's still good to learn that there might be a smartphone free of them.

Whether this will be a feature specific to DROID Prime (or Nexus Prime), or it will be generally available on all Ice Cream Sandwich handsets, it remains to be seen.
