Video game hardware maker and publisher Nintendo will likely miss its current financial target and will soon announce a loss of about 18.7 billion Yen, about 189 million dollars (135 million Euro), for the fiscal year that ended on March 31.

Satoru Iwata has announced that his company will have a high operating income, but slower than expected sales of the Wii U home console mean that it will only manage about two thirds of what it has initially proposed.

CVG quotes analysts who are also saying that investors should hold on to Nintendo stock for the moment in order to see what its future prospects are.

The publisher has announced that it will launch a set of high-profile titles for the 3DS in the coming months and announcements for the Wii U will probably be made during E3 2013.
