After deploying the Circle Pad Pro add-on for the Nintendo 3DS in its native Japan, and confirming a release date in January for Europe, the company has finally provided details about the peripheral’s U.S. launch.

The Nintendo 3DS is a pretty capable handheld console, but the lack of a second analog circle pad made it clunky when it came to providing adequate support for traditional console-style games. As such, Nintendo presented the Circle Pad Pro add-on for it, which brings a second circle pad, as well as new shoulder buttons to the portable device.

After setting a release date for Europe, Nintendo has now confirmed that the peripheral is coming to the U.S., exclusively through GameStop, which will put it on sale on February 7, 2012, for $19.99 (around €15), and have support for upcoming games like Resident Evil: Revelations or Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater.

The Circle Pad Pro is already available in Japan, and will be released in Europe on January 27.
