The developers at Team Ninja have confirmed that they are planning to launch Ninja Gaiden 3 during the month of March 2012, both through Yosuke Hayashi, the lead producer on the title, and via a follow-up message through Twitter.

The hack-and-slash video game installment will again follow Ryu Hayabusa as he fights hordes of enemies, both human and demonic, and the developers are saying that they plan to inject some more humanity into the character and give gamers more cinematic moments.

The game series is well known for its difficulty level, although Team Ninja says that it plans to offer a new game mode which will make it easier for newcomers to enjoy the game.

Initially Ninja Gaiden 3 will be offered on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 and the developers also plan to launch a version for the new Nintendo Wii U when the platform is out in the summer.
