With Nexus 4 slowly being pushed to shelves in various markets around the world and with Nexus 5 expected to make an appearance before the end of this year, enthusiasts are already dreaming of what Google and its manufacturing partners might have in store for users for the next year.

Given that Google has acquired Motorola last year and that the first devices designed under its supervision should be pushed to shelves soon, next year’s Nexus handset, provided that there will be one, might come from this company, introoo suggests.

Dubbed Nexus 6, the concept illustrating their vision of the smartphone would be part of Motorola’s rumored X Series of devices, supposedly set to arrive on shelves with an upcoming Android 6.0 Milkshake OS.

The concept handset also packs a 4.6-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 1280 x 768 pixels resolution, while also offering support for a new type of gestures compared to what current devices can support.

“Nexus 6 brings you the best of Android experience in the new body. ‘X Envelope’ is the new concept for design strategy of Nexus hero device made by Google and Motorola. Just try with Android 6.0 Milkshake and spatial gestures recognition,” introoo notes.

The specs list of this concept phone shows high-end hardware, though nothing spectacular has been included there, it seems.

The Nexus 6 was conceived with a 10-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a 2MP front camera for video calling, the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity capabilities, GPS receiver, micro-HDMI port, the entire set of sensors, and a new special tracking sensor to support the aforementioned gestures.

One other feature of the device is support for 3D printed cases, which should provide users with the possibility to apply an extra layer of personalization to the device.

However, this is only a third-party concept phone for the time being, and Google and Motorola might never consider launching a similar device, so don’t get your hopes high.
