14 DAY TRIAL // Video game hardware maker Sony has announced that it plans to introduce new hardware sales initiatives for the PlayStation Vita handheld, which might mean that the company is finally open to the idea of slicing the price of the device.
The firm’s annual report says, “For PlayStation Vita, we aim to secure sales and profit growth through various hardware sales initiatives and the release of compelling software titles.”
The phrase used is rather cryptic and it could also mean that Sony is preparing to introduce more bundles or other sales promotions for the Vita.
Sony has maintained that it is satisfied with sales of the handheld although it would like to improve them in the coming months.
The company has also promoted the Vita as an excellent companion device for the coming PlayStation 4.
