When the developers at Naughty Dog showed gamers exactly what the PlayStation 3 could do in terms of both graphics and gameplay with the second Uncharted game they claimed to be using close to 100 percent of the power of the consoles.

But is seems that they managed to leave a bit in reserve because Justin Richmond, who is the game director working on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, stated, “We were, at any given point, using 100%. We were using everything we possibly could.”

He added, “There is always room where you find something where you can do the processing in some different way to find more power. There are all of these different ways to squeeze more power out of the box.”

The developers have already said that they are not planning to create a fourth game in the series on the currently available hardware and plan to explore new universes with their next projects.
