A new beta version of Firefox is up for grabs on Windows, Linux, and Mac

Mozilla has just launched the first beta version of Firefox 26, one day after the company rolled out the stable flavor of build number 25.

While no release notes have been provided on the new beta, Mozilla most likely implemented a number of changes and experimental options that could prove a bit unstable on the platforms currently on the market, so you’re highly recommended to stick to the stable build if you don’t have the time to determine the cause of specific bugs.

The stable version of Firefox 26, on the other hand, is expected to be launched in late 2013 or early 2014 and in addition to the standard builds, it will also pack a new flavor specifically aimed at Windows 8 users.

The upcoming Firefox for Windows 8 will pack support for the Modern UI and will also be compatible with Windows RT tablets.
