Mobile phone maker Motorola is getting ready for the launch of its first devices to have been developed after Google’s purchase, and rumor has it that we might see at least one of them made official in May at the Google I/O conference.

The company is also said to plan on offering a series of customization options to its users, though it seems that they won’t stretch to the internal hardware of the device.

Instead, users might be offered the possibility to choose one of the many case color flavors that Motorola is reportedly set make available for them. Overall, there should be more than 20 such colors offered to users, a recent post on PhoneArena reads.

The X Phone is said to arrive sometime in the second half of the year, with a screen size in line with the majority of today’s Android smartphones, and with the vanilla flavor of the OS on top.
