The company tries to compensate users for keeping their tablets away longer

Recently updated XOOM devices with 4G enabled on them have started to arrive in users hands with a Standard Dock attached, meant to compensate for the delays caused in the returning of devices to their owners.

Motorola has started to upgrade existing Motorola XOOM devices to 4G LTE a few weeks ago, just as it promised ever since unveiling the tablet PC back in January, and Verizon customers can now send in their devices for receiving the update.

As can be learned from the video above, the tablet will have to be sent to Motorola for the upgrade, and will be returned to users in about six working days.

However, it seems that, in some cases, the XOOM stayed in Motorola's labs for a bit longer, and the company added a Standard Dock (worth $50) in the returning package as a sign of goodwill.
