14 DAY TRIAL // Xbox Live community manager Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb has posted a brand new chart with the most played online games on the Xbox 360, and it seems that Call of Duty: Black Ops has finally been overtaken, but not by the more recent Battlefield 3, which came in second last week, but by the all-new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
The Xbox 360 platform is dominated by plenty of shooter fans, so many believed that Battlefield 3, which was released on October 25, will defeat the reigning champion of online multiplayer on the console, Call of Duty: Black Ops.
That wasn't so, as the shooter from EA and DICE came in second last week. Now, after another seven days, it seems that Battlefield 3 has once again disappointed, being overtaken in just a few days by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which became the most played online title on the Xbox 360, followed closely by Black Ops, and only after by BF3.
Modern Warfare 3's popularity on the Xbox 360 isn't that surprising, especially since the platform will once again receive all DLC for the game ahead of the Playstation 3 or PC, while Battlefield 3 has a similar deal with Sony's PS3.
