Microsoft has confirmed that it is, in fact, working on an adapter that will allow wired headsets made for the Xbox 360 to work on the Xbox One next-gen console, for those who don't want to use the new Kinect or buy the new official headset.

The Xbox One retail package won't include an actual headset, as Microsoft is confident that the new and improved Kinect sensor can easily pick up the voice of the player and relay it to his friends via voice chat.

While an official wired headset has been confirmed earlier this week, Microsoft has just confirmed via its Xbox Support Twitter account that it's working on an adapter for Xbox 360 wired headsets that will allow them to work on the Xbox One.

No official details are available, but more info is going to be shared as we get closer to the Xbox One's launch in November.
