Today, Redmond-based software giant Microsoft is expected to unveil new devices for the United States market, during an event set to take place in New York City, and four handsets are said to be taking the stage there.

In anticipation of the event, the company has built the largest Windows Phone device to date, and people visiting New York City's Herald Square today will be able to see it.

This is a six-story mobile phone, the largest Windows Phone ever. Those who won't be able to see it in real life can have a look at the video above to see how it was built.

What you will see in the clip includes a “time-lapse video of the construction of a 6-story phone in New York's Herald Square,” Microsoft explains. The company also notes that “the phone was built to celebrate the arrival of 4 new Windows Phones in the US for Holiday 2011.”
