Taiwanese company Memoright has just started shipping their new line of mSATA SSDs called MS 701.

These small devices started popping up in Japan and the guys at AkibaPC managed to get some pictures and even to run a test.

From the official specifications, we can see that Memoright's new baby is faster than OCZ's well-known Nocti. Its read speed can be up to 550 MB/s while Nocti's fastest version is only rated at 280 MB/s on OCZ's official page.

The specifications on Memoright's official website rate the write speed of the MS 701 mSATA SSD at a maximum of 500 MB/s and that is over two times faster than what OCZ's Nocti can manage.
