Meizu is expected to launch yet another mid-range Android smartphone soon, the M2. After releasing the M2 Note in China, the upcoming device is likely to be officially unveiled in the Mainland as well.

Although Meizu has yet to confirm the smartphone's price tag, word is the Meizu M2 will be available for purchase for less than $200 outright.

The Chinese company did not share any details on when exactly the smartphone will be unveiled, but Meizu confirmed an event for June 30 when we believe the M2 will be revealed.

Until then, it looks like the smartphone has been recently spotted at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, so let's see what it has to offer in terms of specs.

First of all, the Meizu M2 will ship with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop operating system right out of box. In addition, the smartphone has been confirmed to measure 140.1x68.9x8.7 mm.

64-bit quad-core CPU and 4G LTE support

As expected, the device will offer dual-SIM support, as well as 4G LTE connectivity. Other options included Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

The M2 will be powered by a 64-bit 1.2-1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB of RAM and either 8GB or 16 GB of internal memory.

We expect the smartphone to pack microSD card slot for memory expansion, but at this time there's no mention of such a component.

However, we do know Meizu M2 will boast a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a 5-megapixel camera in the front for video calls and selfies.

The M2 will be powered by a 2,700 mAh battery and should sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

This is all the info we know about Meizu's M2 mid-range Android smartphone, but we expect more details to emerge closer to launch.
