The development team at Double Fine working on Massive Chalice says that it will not be adding stretch goals to its crowd funding effort for the title, because it is still exploring the core gameplay mechanics and do not want to mislead the community.

The game was funded very quickly by the fan base and the team believes that it’s more important to communicate with the potential audience than entice them with extra content and rewards.

The team states on Kickstarter that, “As we go through pre-production into production, some of these ideas are going to trump ours, leading to a game that’s more in line with what our community wants.”

Double Fine is currently working on Broken Age, the old-school adventure title that was also funded via Kickstarter.

Massive Chalice is a multi-generational fantasy-based strategy title.
