The creators at Production IG and the producers at Funimation have put up a new teaser for their anime Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, giving fans of the series and of the genre a taste of what they can expect when the full movie is released.

The images show both frames that will likely be in the finished product and the way they evolved over time.

Production IG has also worked on Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Patlabour and Eden of the East.

The plot of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost is linked to the character of James Vega, who was one of the core companions in Mass Effect 3.

Developer BioWare was deeply involved with the creation of the story, which will be cannon to the Mass Effect universe.

The anime project currently lacks a release date.

BioWare seems to have a fascination with anime as a medium with a Dragon Age related movie also set to be launched during this spring.
