Microsoft has just posted the update schedule for its Xbox Live Marketplace online service and mentioned that Mass Effect 3 would receive a new bit of downloadable content for its multiplayer mode called Earth, on July 17.

Mass Effect 3 received a lot of downloadable content in recent months, from two impressive multiplayer add-ons, to the long-awaited Extended Cut expansion that improved the story’s various endings.

Now, after hearing a rumor that mentioned a new Mass Effect 3: Earth multiplayer DLC, Microsoft has confirmed through its Xbox Live Marketplace update schedule that such an add-on would be released quite soon, on July 17.

No other details are available, but the previous rumor did mention that many things are included in the add-on, like “mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London,” as well as new weapons “Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, and Typhoon light machine gun,” and, most importantly, six new N7 human classes: “Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury.”

Expect to hear an official statement about Mass Effect 3’s next multiplayer DLC soon, as it’s going to be playable later this week at the San Diego Comic-Con.
