Earlier this week, Microsoft has officially announced the availability of the Lumia Cyan update for Windows Phone 8-based Nokia devices out there, and it appears that some more users out there are now receiving the software.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Lumia Cyan update will arrive only on Nokia Windows Phone handsets, as it includes not only the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system version, but also a series of enhancements aimed specifically at these phones.

The new platform upgrade is currently available for download only for the owners of Lumia 625 and Lumia 925 out there, but should start landing on more devices in the not-too-distant future.

Although released only for the unlocked flavors of the two handsets earlier this week, it has started to land on other phone variants as well.

At the moment, the software is rolling out to the Lumia 925 users on the network of wireless carrier O2 in the UK, and it appears that the owners of Lumia 625 on Meteor in Ireland are also receiving it.

Additionally, as WPCentral notes, it appears that the owners of Lumia 625 in Germany on T-Mobile are also getting a taste of the update. However, Nokia hasn’t confirmed the availability of the OS upgrade for this device version until now.

Slowly, the new firmware upgrade (and operating system version) is making its way to more and more Nokia owners at wireless carriers in Europe, though it should not be too long before it enjoys wider availability around the world.

In fact, owners of the Lumia 625 on the network of wireless carrier Telcel in Mexico should already be seeing the software update arriving on their phones, at least this is what the update tracker published on Nokia’s support website suggests.

As mentioned above, Lumia Cyan does not bring along only the features and capabilities included in the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, but also a series of features coming from Nokia themselves.

That would include a series of camera improvements, as well as updates for Nokia Camera, Creative Studio and Storyteller, and with full-resolution zooming, reframing and Creative Studio 6 (CS6) in Camera Roll.

The update will bring Nokia Device Hub as well, along with a free upgrade to global HERE Drive+ for Lumia 520, Lumia 525, Lumia 620, and Lumia 720 handsets. Lumia Cyan also comes with a series of enterprise enhancements, as well as with performance improvements and fixes.
