Leshcat, the developer we've mentioned in previous posts, has released, as expected, its own version of the new Catalyst driver from AMD.

The “Major Changelog,” as he likes to call it, mentions the driver versions present in this package. It includes AMD/ATi graphics driver version 12.104.0.0000, updated Intel HD Graphics legacy 8.15.10.2559, and modern 9.17.10.3062, as well as the latest optional ATi HDMI audio driver 7.12.0.7714 (for Windows 7) and 8.0.0.8811 (for Windows 8).

In other words, Leshcat's release is based on the latest updates from AMD and Intel.

The “Minor Changelog” speaks of additions like a Sony crash patch and proper FeatureTestControl values. Even the manual has been updated to version 1.2.1.

Unfortunately, the wireless display issue is still a “hopefully resolved” bug.

This driver has received only positive reviews so far. As far as users' opinions go, there are improvements and it feels a lot more stable than the previous versions. Its only downside seems to be a BSOD error after resuming from hibernate.

Below is the link to the driver. Download and install at your own risk because, if you crash your system or cause it to malfunction, Softpedia cannot be held responsible for it.

If you install it and have new information regarding its issues or improvements, do not hesitate to leave a comment.
