As part of its CES 2014 product presentation, Lenovo has introduced some new tablets from its Miix line, the Miix 2 10 and Miix 2 11.

The two tablets have 10-inch and 11-inch screens respectively with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and can offer up 8 hours of life juice. Apparently, Lenovo will make available a keyboard to go with the tablets, so it can give the products a multi-mode edge, says Yahoo.

The keyboard will attach to the main tablet body via magnets, so it will be quite easy to snap them together.

Also, the screen can then be rotated to face away from the keyboard, giving users an extra mode to work with, which comes in handy when wanting to watch movies and not wanting to have the keyboard in the way.

Now moving on to specifications, the Miix 2 10 draws power from an Atom Z3740 processor (from the Bay Trail family) paired with 2GB of RAM and backed-up by 128GB of storage.

Other specifications include a 2MP front-facing camera, micro USB, microSD card slot and stereo JBL speakers.

The tablet is 0.31 inches / 7.8 mm thick and weighs 1.3 pounds / 589 g, but when the keyboard is added, it will amount to 2.3 pounds / 1.04 kg. Miix 2 10 runs Windows 8 and bundles Microsoft Office 2013 Home & Student out of the box.

On the other hand, the Miix 2 11 allows for a bit of customization and will become available with a choice of up to Intel Core i5 processor.

The larger model also has a full-sized USB port and the possibility to have 256GB of internal storage, but apart from what we just mentioned, the specs are the same as with the 10-inch Miix. Both models support optional 3G/LTE.

The Miix 2 10 slate is set to arrive in March with prices starting at $499 / €367, while the 11-incher is scheduled for April and will sell for $699 / €514.
