No specific decision has been taken internally so far, it seems

Chinese mobile phone maker Lenovo might bring to the market a Windows Phone 8 device before the end of 2013, a company’s executive confirmed at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

JD Howard, vice president of business operations and worldwide business development at Lenovo's Mobile Internet and Digital Home (MIDH) business group, told ZDNet that Windows Phone 8 would feature better security features when compared to Android.

Apparently, the idea of building devices running under Microsoft’s new mobile platform has been already proposed internally, but that a decision might be taken only in April as Lenovo’s fiscal year ends in March.

Given that the proposal is approved, there is a good chance that a Lenovo Windows Phone 8 device will be launched before the end of the year, JD Howard also said.
