Whether it's an announcement, a pre-release official picture or just a plain leak, products often seem to somehow make themselves known to the consumer market before their official launch. Such is the case with the LG XNOTE LGX30 ultrathin laptop personal computer, which was recently spotted in the database of the Federal Communications Commission. The product hasn't been formally showcased, but it will probably come out in a few months.

Although it may merely be a test case, the netbook is already far enough along to be submitted for testing by the FCC. The ultrathin laptop personal computer weighs 1.74 pounds and runs on an Intel Atom processor whose exact frequency and memory specifications haven't been released as of yet. Still, there are specific details concerning the rest of the product's individual components, hinting at one possibly capable of rivaling the Dell Vostro V13, released not too long ago.

The LGX30 has a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) measuring 11.6 inches and that is capable of a maximum resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, with actual graphics properties being provided by the Intel GMA 500 graphics. Neither the total amount of memory has been disclosed, nor the exact storage capabilities, although it is known that the netbook will make use of a Solid State Drive (SSD). Other known specs include the Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi and a built-in webcam.

Even though the currently known specifications aren't complete, they are enough for speculation. The fact that the laptop was submitted for the FCC approval implies that the LGX30 netbook is already in advanced development stages, hinting at the release probably occurring around March 2010.

Pricing details are, of course, also unavailable, although the netbook's specifications seem to hint at a tag hovering between $500 and $600.
