If there was any doubt that LG and Verizon were gearing up for the release of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the LG Spectrum, the latest developments on the matter should remove it entirely.

The South Korean mobile phone maker has just updated the user guide for this device to include Ice Cream Sandwich in it, a clear indicator of update’s near arrival.

LG spectrum will get a nice range of new capabilities through this update, including support for better multi-tasking, as well as graphical changes.

What is yet unknown is when exactly the update will land on actual devices. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before that happens, especially since the phone is expected to get a successor soon, the Spectrum 2, none other than the already official LG Optimus LTE II.
