HI Corporation announced that the 3D golf game "FortuneGolf3D" has been released by LG Telecom. The game was developed using the MascotCapsule real-time 3D rendering engine by Com2uS Corporation.

The ported version of "FortuneGolf3D" has been successfully distributed in Japan as "Seishun! Golf-jiichan". Together with the unique and unconventional concept that the player is getting younger by playing golf, the game uses a variety of camera angles, rich 3D fields and outstanding scene effects to generate a realistic play environment.

FortuneGolf3D, which has won the grand prize from Ministry of Information and Communication in "The 4th Most Innovative Mobile Content" and the grand prize from Ministry of Culture and Tourism as "Best game of the month" in Korea, is the first 3D mobile game adopted by LGT. HI expects that this distribution will contribute to increasing the mobile 3D content market share in Korea and to growing the awareness of HI and MascotCapsule.

MascotCapsule is an embedded software 3D rendering engine that enables real-time 3D graphics for applications to run on various devices such as mobile phones. MascotCapsule enables the smooth display of 3D graphics even in hardware resource-constrained environments. MascotCapsule is available in versions 1 through 4 which support various platforms and hardware configurations. The latest MascotCapsule V4 complies with international standards M3G (JSR-184) and OpenGL ES, extending the development potential for applications. In Korea, MascotCapsule has been adopted by three carriers, SK Telecom, KT Freetel, and LG Telecom, and over 40 content titles using MascotCapsule have been distributed in the market.
