Being build on top of the KDE Software Compilation 4.8.0 environment, the Kubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 1 (Precise Pangolin) release is powered by Linux kernel 3.2.6.
The first Beta release of Kubuntu 12.04 LTS also includes an up-to-date Telepathy KDE, Oxygen-GTK3, Owncloud, and LightDM as the default login manager.
