Twi-hards have been probably praying for this: after speculation began that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were an item ever since shooting for “New Moon,” the two obstinately refused to come out with a confirmation. Kristen is doing just that in her latest interview with GQ.

After months on end of trying to keep a low profile and, above all, their romance out of the spotlight and preferably out of the tabloids as well, Kristen is confirming that she and Rob are together.

Before sitting down with GQ, she says that shooting for “Snow White” in the UK is just perfect for her, since she hopes to go sightseeing because “my boyfriend is English” (quotes via Hollywood Life).

In the actual interview, the star shows some remorse at having blurted that out – but is actually graceful enough to explain why she’s so fiercely protective of her private life.

“I never would have said that if I knew you were going to be interviewing me. Yeah, I know it is. So much of my life is so easily Googled. I mean, it’s like, ‘C’mon guys. It’s so obvious’,” the actress reveals.

To this day, she still can’t understand how much interest people take in her and Rob’s personal life.

“But this subject, I don’t think you realize what a big deal it is for people. Well, it is a big deal. And right now, even me talking about it like this is a big deal,” she says.

“They would be, ‘Oh. My. God.’ There would also still be a 50/50 split. Some people would still be, ‘See, told you they’re not together’,” Kristen adds.

Even though she let the cat out of the bag this time, she doesn’t plan on it ever happening again. When she gets married and starts having children, she will make sure she keeps everyone guessing about stuff like her children’s names, she promises.

“I don’t worry about it at all. It’s just one of those things. I’m selfish. I’m like, ‘That’s mine!’ And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way,” she says.

“It’s a funny little game to play and it’s a slippery slope. I always say to myself I’m never going to give anything away because there’s never any point or benefit for me,” Kristen adds of the compulsive need she feels to keep her personal life private.
