Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, the action role-playing game created by the 1st Production Department of Square Enix for the Nintendo 3Ds, has received a nine-minute long trailer which is set to show fans of the franchise some of the narrative elements that they will encounter in the game.

The game will focus on Sora and Riku and their Mark of Mastery exam, set to prepare them for the return of their enemy Xehanort.

The game mixes the Disney universe and characters with traditional Japanese role-playing game mechanics.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be launched exclusively on the 3DS handheld on July 20 in North America, with European players getting access to the game on the last day of the month.

Japanese gamers have already been playing Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance since late March and the game received an almost perfect score from the Famitsu magazine.
