Kinect Sports Rivals, the upcoming Xbox One exclusive experience from Rare, will feature old activities from previous Xbox 360 entries, as well as new ones that were made to take advantage of the increased capabilities of the new Kinect sensor.

The Xbox One will ship with a new Kinect and this means that games designed specifically for the peripheral, like Kinect Sports Rivals, will be able to take advantage of the device.

According to Rare's Technology Developer, Nick Burton, via GI, the new title will revisit some old sports, like the wave-racing or bowling, which require more finesse thanks to the new Kinect.

New activities, like the target-shooting game, were made after members of the team created an experience where they could sign their names in the air with a finger from four meters away.

There's also a face-scanning option that will record the face of a player for 20 seconds and produce a caricature with exaggerated expressions.
