The main multiplayer event in Killzone 3 is called Warzone and is a great way to make the transition from the single player to the more competitive side of the first-person shooter, although a stop in the Botzone is still a good idea.

The mode allows teams to compete in various events, which shift pretty quickly, in order to rack up points and ultimately win a match.

Warzone is a good concept because it is specifically designed not to allow boredom to set in.

The constant switch ups between types of play and actual objectives makes sure that players are always on their toes and also serves to allow different types of gamers to shine at different moments, serving as a kind of great equalizer when it comes to skill.

Medics seem to be the least useful class at the moment, mainly because the time in which another player can be revived is very small and rarely does one get the chance to actually perform a revival and then get away without being shot to pieces.

Tacticians can be very useful with their ability to scan the entire map and reveal all enemies and are very valuable for their ability to cap points for their team.

Where Warzone offers short-term structure, the Operations multiplayer mode offers the same in the long term, with cutscenes that involved the players and more of an emphasis on teamwork, and is the best way to enjoy Killzone 3 with a small group of friends, with the only real issues being that there are just three maps adapted to it.

The game has a full panoply of unlocks for all the classes, as well as more general ones, but in firefights newcomers can often take out veterans as long as they take their time and don't just rush into action.
