Karoshi is a server Linux distribution aimed at schools wanting to manage their local networks and internet access. Karoshi Linux 7.0 makes the switch to Ubuntu 10.04 as the base operating system. It is also more flexible in the configuration process enabling users to customize many of the settings that were hard-coded before.

The Karoshi Linux team is proud to announce their latest offering of the Linux based server operating and management system designed specifically for schools and education. Built on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, Karoshi Linux 7 is now offered in both 64bit and 32bit downloads,” the official release announcement read.

New in this release is the web management interface which enables administrators to manage the servers online from any computer. What’s more, the web interface is also available on mobile phones, so admins can check in on the go.
