Internet Explorer 11 is offered as the default browser in Windows 8.1 and as far as Microsoft is concerned, this is the best choice when it comes to daily web browsing.

As you know, IE11 now supports a maximum of 100 tabs in Metro mode, while also packing several other improvements supposed to boost speed and enhance touch.

“IE11 delivers the best daily browsing experience for getting to your sites quickly and using them together with Windows Store apps in Windows 8.1. Browsing feels fast, fluid and perfect for touch with many tabs, richer suggestions, organized favorites and side-by-side experiences for comparing sites and using sites with Windows Store apps together,” Microsoft explains.

Internet Explorer 11 is currently available in Preview form in Windows 8.1, but the browser will be pushed out of beta once the new operating system hits RTM.
