Intel has released new BIOS packages developed for two of its desktop boards, namely versions 0157 and 0326 targeted at the DH87MC and DH87RL devices, respectively, which improves the security level of certain UEFI variables, as highlighted in Intel Security Advisory 00038.

Besides the actual BIOS update, the downloadable packages also include the 9.0.20.1447 ME firmware, and the integrated Graphics (build 2179), SATA RAID (12.0.0.1783), and LAN (1403 PXE 2.1 Build 091) option ROMs.

In addition to that, the 5.1.00 UEFI driver version, as well as the 2.2.5 Video BIOS packages, are also applied along with the present BIOS update.

As for the available files, the producer has provided 4 downloadable packages for each board that describe different upgrade methods.

Specifically speaking, the RL0326.BIO file can recover the device left in an unusable state in the event that the BIOS upgrade has failed, and the RLH8710H.86A.0326.BI.ZIP archive will help you upgrade the BIOS regardless of the operating system installed on your desktop board.

Last but not least, the other two Express BIOS update executables, one for each bit variant, will perform the upgrade just like the aforementioned archive, but these files are to be used only under Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes.

That being said, download Intel DH87MC Desktop Board BIOS 0157 or download Intel DH87RL Desktop Board BIOS 0326 depending on which board you own, upgrade your BIOS, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
