Intel has just announced the availability of a new version of its PROSet/Wireless drivers, namely build 17.0.6, which consists of several downloadable files containing different installation packages.

Specifically speaking, Intel has rolled out 5 driver-only and 5 driver-with wireless software executables targeted at home and business users who don’t need advanced IT administrator features.

In addition to that, the producer has also outed 5 archives suitable for enterprise users who require advanced IT administrative tools. These packages are targeted at large corporations, universities, and similar, but can be installed by smaller organizations as well.

Moreover, Intel has made available for download a larger bundle file (over 250MB) that includes all files required to install the compatible adapters’ driver and software on any of the supported operating systems, namely both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7 and 8, and the 64-bit architecture of Windows 8.1.

When it comes to the compatible devices, the producer’s latest PROSet release can be applied on systems containing its Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160, -AC 7260, -AC 7260 for Desktop, and -AC 7265 adapters, as well as on the Wireless-N and Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 and 7265 products.

That being said, download Intel PROSet/Wireless Driver 17.0.6 or download Intel PROSet/Wireless Driver 17.0.6 for IT Administrators for the appropriate system configuration and depending on which of the packages you desire.
