Developer The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA have launched two new pieces of downloadable content for their strategy game Total War: Shogun 2, allowing gamers to play with the Hattori clan and enjoy a more bloody tactical battle experience.

The Hattori are not known for their military prowess but are masters at undercover work and can bribe and assassinate their way to victory.

The Hattori were initially linked to the Limited Edition package for Shogun 2 and players will also get an extra battle scenario to play, and extra armor and Experience Points for their in –game avatar.

The Blood Pack is linked to the battles and includes such over the top moves as limb removals, decapitations and a lot more gore on the tactical level.

This extra piece of DLC is only available for those over 18.

The Creative Assembly recently announced that a full on expansion, called Fall of the Samurai, will be launched for Shogun 2 in March 2012.
