Starting today, owners of Windows Phone 8 devices with only 512MB of RAM inside can download and install the Halo: Spartan Assault mobile game too, as the latest flavor of the title brought along support for their smartphones.

Now available for download as version 1.1, the game also comes with 5 new missions, courtesy of a new Operation Hydra expansion update.

In this level, “you intercept a haunting alien signal after the destruction of planet Draetheus V. Following the signal to the core of the planet’s moon, you discover its terrifying source—and a surprising new mystery to unravel,” Microsoft’s Michael Stroh explains in a blog post.

The Operation Hydra update is offered for free for all users, bringing the total number of missions that they can enjoy in the game up to 30.
