HTC says that component supply shortages still affect its performance

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation appears to be pretty happy with the sales of its latest flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One, and has announced that over 5 million units have been sold since the phone’s release in March.

Compared to the performance of rivals, sales of HTC One appear quite slow, but HTC notes that it has received “pretty good” orders for the smartphone so far, and that it will work hard on meeting demand, WSJ reports.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the company has been plagued with a series of HTC One component shortages since March, which determined it to push back the handset’s launch in some markets.

Apparently, the issues will be resolved only next month, and sales of the smartphone might increase in volume then.
