ArenaNet, the developer of the upcoming Guild Wars 2 MMORPG, has confirmed that over 1 million people have signed up to try out the online game during the upcoming beta stage.

Guild Wars 2 is set to change the online gaming scene, opting to deliver players all sorts of experiences without charging them a monthly fee, like other titles.

Interest for the game increased last week, when the developer started accepting registrations for an upcoming beta stage. Despite the fact that people only had 48 hours to register for access, it seems that it was more than enough time for over 1 million gamers to express their interest in the new title.

After this impressive milestone, ArenaNet has promised to release the beta stage as soon as possible, so that everyone who registered to try out Guild Wars 2 could do so before its eventual release later this year.
