24 Hours of Nurburgring is one of the toughest races in the world of automotive racing and it seems that Gran Turismo 6 is one of the tools that Kazunori Yamauchi is using to improve the performance of its own Schulze Motorsport team.
GTPlanet reveals that an experimental special development version of Gran Turismo 6 is being used to refine the suspension setup of the GT-R NISMO GT3 car that will tackle the punishing race.
The use of additional sensors allows engineers from the Schulze Motorsport team to re-create the qualifying lap and suggests changes that can improve performance during the real-world 24 Hours of Nurburgring.
The use of Gran Turismo 6 seems to have paid off as the Schulze Motorsport team managed to get the best ever performance of a Japanese team, with their GT-R NISMO GT3 securing 26th place on the grid after topping the leaderboards at one time.
