Wasn't it already released like a 100 years ago?

Navarre, the former Jowood publisher in North America, has listed two new gold tiles. One is Silent Storm and the other is probably setting a new kind of record. It's "Gothic II: The Night of The Raven" if you can believe it. It can be found in stores starting October 24 for only $19.95.

This is typical German marketing: after the development of the game is completed, is it time for a global launch? No, the game is published in Germany only. It gets about 100.000 copies sold, maybe 150.000. Then you wait for a year and you launch it in Europe. It doesn't matter that the graphics and gameplay are already old. You wait again for almost two years, and announce that "Gothic II: The Night of The Raven" is gold for North America, hoping to get 100 desperate Americans to buy it.

This type of strategy eludes my intelligence. More and more German publishers follow this model, with launches only for Germany. Maybe we'll let them know there is life beyond the borders too.

This week, Softpedia would like to know your opinion on gaming consoles. What is your favorite console you either own or you are planning to buy? Are you an Xbox fan or a Playstation fan? Has Xbox360 convinced you it's time to buy one? Or you'll wait for the PS3? Express your opinion here.
